My name is Mary De Leon Garcia. I have been happily married to the most amazing man for 25 wonderfully blessed years. We have been blessed with two wonderful children: Abelardo Joaquin is 15 years old and Ayanna Maria is 13 years old. They keep us very busy and always on our toes. There is NEVER a dull moment!! Joaquin is my shy boy with a big heart! He loves spending time with his dad; enjoying, fishing, hunting, and playing all sports. Ayanna is my deaf baby girl with bi-lateral cochlear implants. She works harder than anyone I know and is very determined and outgoing. Watch out, nothing stops her!! I can now add that I am married to a celebrity, lol! I am a 1992 Marathon High School graduate and a 1997 Sul Ross graduate. I enjoy collecting antiques and spending time with my kids.

I have enjoyed living in Balmorhea and teaching at Balmorhea ISD. We have fantastic and energetic students. I am the Business / Technology Teacher, UIL Coordinator, and BPA Advisor.
